Science Co-op

I don't know if I am crazy or not, but we joined ANOTHER co-op. This is our 3rd co-op that we are part of. This is a science co-op that meets 2x a month.

While waiting for all of the children to come, the kids played.

Then we started our unit. The kids learned about blood. Rachel, the coordinator, read several books about it. She passed out several books for the kids to look through too.

Then she showed how plasma, red blood cells, and white bloods cells work in our body.
 (adding white blood cells)

After she added all of the components, she went outside and sprinkled some dirt inside to represent germs. The dirt clung to the white blood cells (marshmallows). She gave each child a chance to shake the jar.

The kids loved it and we look forward to our next class.
