Our Rainy Week!

Sunday brought our usual day of soccer.

After soccer was ice cream time!

This week rained a lot. That meant we had to get creative indoors. We put on plays, had lunch dates, had movie dates, read books, played with toys, and tried anything to stay sane.

This is what their room looked like each day before we cleaned up for bed!
 We made a rainbow cake.

While we waited for it to bake we made dinosaurs to go with The Magic Treehouse book we are reading Dinosaurs Before Dark.

Here is our finished cake
 and our finished dinos!

Caitlins

Here was the sink after we baked!

We spent a lot of time playing with a carseat box.

We went to the Discovery Center again for another homeschooling class. This time we learned about rockets.

We watched a show in the planetarium about rockets too.
Then we went outside and watched the bigger kids launch rockets that they made. The kids also ran and stepped on a pretend rocket and watched it fly.

We also saw a sundial!
We also had our library co-op. The kids made Earth's with water, markers, glue and paper plates.

While we waited for them to dry...

the kids did worksheets! We are working on right and left with them, as well as map concepts.

Then we played Simon Says trying to reinforce the left and right.

For some reason Jayden forgot his left and right and was not pleased at all about it. So he decided to lay on the floor.

Once the Earth's were dry, we glued them onto paint and glitter spattered construction paper. It became the Earth in the sky with stars!

We played legos. Cait made a castle with a bridge on the side.

Jayden made an apple tree and started making a fort.

We had no Tball on Thursday or Saturday due to the weather. Hopefully it resumes this week!
