This week

Darn, another week gone! Lots has happened in the past week!

We read about sloths and learned about Jungles...

Cait reviewed her colors (which we are now learning in Spanish)

This week we worked on "B" and "2"

 Jayden played with his Tag Map of the US.

 Cait made a Jungle book

 and watched her Hooked on Phonics dvd.

 Jayden learned about the penny

 and did several worksheets on syllables.

 Then he wrote a sentence about a Lego picture.

 Life lessons included our semiweekly laundry trips,

and a lesson in money. From now on the kids will put away 25% of their money in their charity, 25% of their money in savings and 50% of it into their piggy bank for spending. For the month of February we are purchasing toiletries to donate to the Lazarus House, a projected started by one of the coordinators at our indoor playground.

 

Swimming went well, as usual. Afterward we went on our trip to the library (not pictured).

 Jayden continued his T4L journey in Math and LA.

 

Cait continued to work on her B

Look at that concentration!

 Jayden worked on more worksheets involving greater than, lesser than and equal to.

 Cait walked around in her heels

 We went to the indoor playground for some play and a science activity with Olivia.

 First the kids painted little love bugs, in honor of Valentines Day.

 Then Teacher Becky came up with a fabulous plan for crayons. First we soaked them in water and peeled the paper off of them.

 Then we broke the crayons into pieces and put them into heart shaped molds.

 We had a snack while Teacher Becky baked them for 15 minutes and then stuck them into the freezer for 15 minutes.

 We played while waiting.

 Then we pulled them out to find these!

 So we colored with them! We all loved how they look!
