Story Land

Sadly Juan is no longer on vacation. We did end his time off with a bang though!

The kids went bowling, to the park, and best of all, to Story Land this past week. Story Land is an amusement park for children (although adults can get on the rides too), featuring tons of characters from Nursery Rhymes and classical stories. Some of these things I've never seen or heard of. Jayden and Caitlin have been looking at the brochures for this place for months now. We met Carolyn and Olivia there.

Jayden: CAIT! I'M SO EXCITED! THIS IS THE BEST PLACE EVER!!

Billy Goats Gruff
We took Jayden and Caitlin on their first ever roller coaster ride. It's called the Polar Coaster. They LOVED it. We didn't bring the camera on the ride so there is no picture but afterward they both wanted to go on again. We also did a raft ride and got soaked!
Mist room- there were a bunch of these throughout the park to walk through so you could stay cool

Cinderella's pumpkin
We took a cruise on the "Story Land Queen" which is a swan shaped boat to Butterfly Island.

The kids went on an antique German carousel. There is only 1 other carousel like it in the world- and it's in Germany! The horses rock back and forth and there are no poles making it go up and down.

Oceans of Fun Sprayground
We all split up because the park was going to close. Jayden went on a mini roller coaster with Juan while Cait and I went to Cinderella's castle.

Stunned at seeing Cinderella. "Mom, you know that's just a costume right? But I love her dress!"

We all met up for face painting. *Note to self, next time do face painting first so they can keep it on all day!

At the end, there was a cute little performance (I was too busy eating fried dough to take pics!), and the kids finally got to hug Humpty Dumpty and some purple dragon named Duke.
