School

Neither kid is feeling very well but they were both somewhat interested in school today.

Cait, who wasn’t interested in having her hair brushed or her picture taken, started playing with her MobiGo.

Look at that crabby face! She traced numbers and shapes today.

Then she requested her circle sheets to make dots on.

Then she attempted to cut on the lines a few times before deciding she was done with this.
After that she decided to watch her LeapFrog Alphabet show.

Jayden started school off with his penmanship. I let him pick two sentences that he wanted to write. Both sentences were about Batman.

Jayden worked on his reading comprehension. Together we read a passage. Then he had to answer questions about it.
Jayden also worked on his multiple addend worksheet. He is getting better at this!

Afterward school was lunchtime! While I made lunch we called each other silly food names in Spanish, such as pollo, pernil and tostones . During lunch time we played a game to learn about even and odd numbers. Even Cait was interested in playing along. They had to pick a number from 1-10 for me to show them with my fingers. If every finger had a buddy they had to shout “even” and if not “odd”. Somehow it turned into them calling me a pickle so I figured they were done with the game for today!

Back to swimming!

This week has been a hectic week. Coming back from our weekend in NY meant trying to go back to our normal schedule! Neither of the kids feel well, which is happening much more frequently than usual! This change of weather sucks! Mother Nature, pick a season and stick with it for a few months please!

Meanwhile, Jayden is back at swimming. He is in a larger class this time, 5 children altogether. And he is the only boy!

This week has consisted mainly of playing with Christmas toys.

May loaned Jayden Hayzel's DS while Hayzel was in swim class!

And there was lots of rest since there are some of us who don't feel so well these days!
