First official day!

Today was our first official day back at school. We took a couple of weeks off from any formal learning so that I could regroup, get myself settled in with my own school work, and so the kids (well mostly Jayden) could have a bit of a break.

We started off with history and read the introduction chapter of The Story of the World. We discussed the words crops, archeology, archeologist, history, and historian. They both seemed very interested and Jayden even asked if we could read a chapter every day.

 Then he worked on grammar,

 and spelling.

Then he went to T4L and worked on his math. He worked on counting by 3s and patterns on the hundreds chart.

 Then he came back and worked on his supplemental worksheet.

 Here is my big girl- officially a preschooler

 She worked on tracing the letter E.

 Then she got ambitious and work on previous letters.

 When she was done she decided to go read...

 We headed to the library and the kids borrowed two books each.

 

 

We had a fantastic first day! I'm so glad that it was successful and we are all looking forward to this school year!
