Our Past Couple of Days

Cait decided she wanted a puzzle of her own since Jayden was always doing his puzzle. We found 4 12-piece puzzles at Marshalls for her! Here she is working on one.

Since J was so quick with his 48 piece puzzle, we decided it was time to get him a 100 piece puzzle!

I don't have a picture of it, but he actually finished it by himself!!!!

Then we made "Dirt Cupcakes" with May & Hayzel!

 Yummy!
 And a little bit messy!
We went to a Halloween party at our local play place. The kids made vampire lollipops.
 Jayden's lollipop!
 Caitlin's lollipop!
They played games and earned candy and prizes!

 Drank punch...

Played with witches hair and eyeballs! (Spaghetti for the hair and grapes for eyeballs)
 and played more games!

On our way home we stopped at the really cool dollar store that has EVERYTHING! And we picked up two magnifying glasses for school. When we got home we got the opportunity to use it! We bumped into our friend from last week, the caterpillar. The kids touched it and looked at it through the magnifying glass. It stayed perfectly still for a while. After a few minutes it started to curl up, which we learned is a sign that it's scared. So we left it alone and went home.

We also recently went to the library for play time and story hour and we met Dora! Cait hugged her three times. Jayden didn't go near her once!

And last but most certainly not least, both kids know how to spell Halloween with the help of a song I learned in elementary school. Jay refuses to be recorded singing but I got Cait! The song goes like this: H-A-Double L-O-W-Double E-N spells HALLOWEEN!

Yesterday & Today!

Yesterday on our way to a local play place for Science class, we ran into this little guy!

When we got home we did a little bit of research on the internet to learn more about it. Using this link, we found out more about the caterpillar, which we learned becomes a Pyrrharctia isabella - Isabella Tiger Moth.

During science class the kids made lava lamps. Cait made a red one and Jay made a blue one. The lava lamps were made with water, oil, kosher salt, food coloring and glitter! The tops were hot glued shut to prevent spilling.

 Today C did some tracing,

and J worked on his spelling words.

Upset that her fingers were dirty from the marker

J still working on his spelling words

C moved on to her bead work. This project keeps her entertained foreverrrrrrrrrr!!!!! I love it! And so does she!

When J finally finished, he worked on unscrambling his spelling words.

Then he did an addition worksheet
while C finished her bead work.

Being silly!

The end!!
