School

With the holidays coming up I am trying to cram as much as I can into the next few days so that we can take a couple of days off.

This past weekend we took the kids to get a pic of them done. We also took them to Build A Bear for their Christmas gift from us. Build a Bear had a sale for the bear plus two outfits (the one it comes with and one extra) for $24.99. Jayden now has an Alvin and Cait has a Brittany from the new Chipwrecked movie.

This is what our week looked like:

Cait has been working on her number recognition with numbers 1-5.

 Jayden practiced his vowels.
He also worked on multiple addends during math.

He gets very upset when he gets anything wrong but he also wasn't paying attention. He was busy watching Cait and made silly errors.

I also had him read a list of Dolch words from grades pre-k-3rd grade to gauge where he is. He did pretty well.

Cait munched on a donut while watching her Leapfrog show about numbers.

Jayden just started learning the proper way to write a sentence. He prefers to write in all caps so he is frustrated with the capitalization part, but he is still trying.

Cait measured herself while watching some Barney.

Jayden worked on his LA book.

He also did a fun Christmas word search!
They insisted on making their own pb & j sandwich.

Then J read several books to me. He read for an hour!

 Another day of school:

 Cait watching Numbers Ahoy

 Painted nails!
 Making Santas

We took a break to head to our favorite indoor playground for a playdate and some science fun!

Becky had them place several objects of different sizes and shapes down a tube and had them test which ones they thought would go faster or slower and why.

After science, Cait needed a break. She was tired and crabby.

She turned me into a cat with her magic wand!

Meanwhile Jayden was helping his favorite lady Becky clean up!

Cait was ecstatic that baby Rachel joined us today!

Jayden, Olivia and another little girl made some art. Jayden spent 30 minutes making several pictures for the ladies who work at the playground! He is too much!

Olivia drew a mustache on herself!

When we got home I quickly assembled the artwork for the kids and let them dry while we ate dinner.

 Then we hung them up!
