Face painting & Slime!

Today we went to the local play place and the kids got their faces painted!

Cait got her face painted like a cat:

Jay decided he wanted his face painted as a bat!

Then we headed over to our science class. Today the kids made slime using 1/4 c water, 4oz glue, borax and food coloring.

Jayden's reaction to the thought of touching the slime!
Cait was the only child there who touched the slime!! She was also the only one who asked if she could eat it! My girl is a lover of food!

Teacher Becky then put all of their slime in a plastic sandwich bag.

 Ready to leave!

We also signed the kids up for swimming classes! Classes start next Thursday! Stay tuned for pics!

Our Past Couple of Days

Cait decided she wanted a puzzle of her own since Jayden was always doing his puzzle. We found 4 12-piece puzzles at Marshalls for her! Here she is working on one.

Since J was so quick with his 48 piece puzzle, we decided it was time to get him a 100 piece puzzle!

I don't have a picture of it, but he actually finished it by himself!!!!

Then we made "Dirt Cupcakes" with May & Hayzel!

 Yummy!
 And a little bit messy!
We went to a Halloween party at our local play place. The kids made vampire lollipops.
 Jayden's lollipop!
 Caitlin's lollipop!
They played games and earned candy and prizes!

 Drank punch...

Played with witches hair and eyeballs! (Spaghetti for the hair and grapes for eyeballs)
 and played more games!

On our way home we stopped at the really cool dollar store that has EVERYTHING! And we picked up two magnifying glasses for school. When we got home we got the opportunity to use it! We bumped into our friend from last week, the caterpillar. The kids touched it and looked at it through the magnifying glass. It stayed perfectly still for a while. After a few minutes it started to curl up, which we learned is a sign that it's scared. So we left it alone and went home.

We also recently went to the library for play time and story hour and we met Dora! Cait hugged her three times. Jayden didn't go near her once!

And last but most certainly not least, both kids know how to spell Halloween with the help of a song I learned in elementary school. Jay refuses to be recorded singing but I got Cait! The song goes like this: H-A-Double L-O-W-Double E-N spells HALLOWEEN!
